How to become a Doctor in India? Complete guide. [Infographic]

Becoming a Doctor in India is an Easy but Long process [Takes around 7 years = 1 year of study to crack NEET UG + 5.5 years of MBBS degree including internship].
All you need to do is to qualify for NEET/ AIIMS / JIPMER examinations.
According to the Medical Council of India (The topmost Medical body in India), the following requirements must be met to appear in NEET/ AIIMS /JIPMER exams for becoming a Doctor:

  1. Minimum Age: 17 years
  2. Maximum Age: No Limit
  3. Minimum Educational Qualification: 10 +2 or Equivalent Education with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as a Subject
  4. Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR – 50%, OBC/SC/ST – 40%, PWD – 45% (minimum aggregate marks only for PCB subjects)
  5. Nationality: Indian, Non-Resident Indian
